- Does anyone have an e-mail address for Electronic Arts?
-
- I have DVideo, and it seems the Maker Key diskette is bad. When I try to
- run DVideo from it, it's supposed to check some registration number on
- the disk (method of copy protection I think) but I get an
-
- "Insert disk 'ORIGINAL DISK THEN CANCEL' in any drive"
-
- requester instead...
-
- I tried ASSIGNing 'ORIGINAL DISK THEN CANCEL' to the actual diskette, but
- this didn't work either. I also noticed that when I tried to make a
- copy of the original Maker Key diskette (as instructed in the manual) it
- gave me an error on a certain block on the disk. So I tried DiskSalv on it,
- and it too reported an error on a particular block. I tracked it down to
- a program in the C: directory called 'sigfile'. Perhaps this is where
- the registration number lies, and it is corrupt?
-
- Can anyone give me suggestions as to how to fix this (besides dump the
- program and get something else)? I need to use it for now...
-
- Thanks.
